Assessment FAQ’s – What gets covered in the initial orientation call?

In a First Assessment situation the coach is looking to understand a number of things. The goal is to be familiar with your process, the candidate and situation. We will want to be able to deliver a magnet effect towards your company with the candidate and at the same time make sure you avoid a wrong hire:

  • Sales and customer care team structure? What is the position being filled here and how does it fit in the organization?
  • What is your hiring process? What process has this candiate already gone through and any background on the candidate which would be valuable to know
  • What are the critical skills you feel a person in this role needs to have to be successful – what will they be doing every day on the job?
  • What have you observed historically were critical skills that superstars had, and folks who ended up being wrong hires did not have
  • Are they any other areas outside of customer engagement skills you want us to probe in the process?
